Birmingham Newman University is proud to strengthen its commitment to accessible, high-quality education through its Excellence Scholarship, creating exciting opportunities for ambitious international students to progress their studies, build confidence, and make a lasting contribution to their communities and home countries

Through the Excellence Scholarship, eligible Master’s programmes are available at£8,000, helping more students access postgraduate study in areas that are vital to economic growth and social progress, including PublicHealth, Education, Information Technology, and Business

As a new sponsor, the University has designed the Excellence Scholarship to provide a competitive and student-centred offer while being clear about the conditions that apply. Students should be aware that, as part of these requirements, they must complete a Secure English Language Test (SELT), will not be permitted to undertake part-time work during their studies, and are expected either to return home after completing their degree or to progress to further study where eligible. The scholarship has been developed to recognise these commitments and to help ensure that students can make an informed decision before applying.

The scholarship is designed to champion motivated students who want to gain advanced knowledge, develop professional skills, and earn internationally recognised qualifications. By combining academic learning with practical expertise and critical thinking, Birmingham Newman University aims to help graduates contribute confidently to innovation, growth, and community wellbeing in the places that matter most to them.
