PORTSMOUTH — Prospective Great Bay Community College students can get help with admissions, advising, and financial aid during the school’s express admission blitz
The event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 11, according to a GBCC announcement. Visitors can check in anytime before 2 p.m
The event is designed for students at any stage of the application process, including those who have not yet applied and those who are ready to register for classes
On-the-spot admissions, advising, and registration
“This event is for prospective students in any phase of the application process, including those who have not applied or those who have been accepted and are ready for advising and registration. The goal is for you to leave this event registered for fall Classes” said Steve Gorman, director of GBCC admissions
Fall courses starting Aug. 31, Sept. 28, and Oct. 26 are available in a range of formats, including in-person, online, hybrid, and hyflex, which allows students to choose how they attend
FAFSA support available during the event
Granite Edvance will hold a FAFSA Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the event. In-person support will be available to help answer questions about the FAFSA form and assist in filling it out
“Many students make their college decision in the weeks leading up to the start of the semester” Gorman said. “At the same time, growing numbers of students are prioritizing affordable education, flexible schedules, and programs that lead directly to employment or seamless transfer to a four-year university. Express admissions helps students quickly complete the process so they can secure the courses they want and begin the semester ready to succeed.”
