Career guidance session highlights emerging job opportunities

Islamabad:An informative career guidance lecture was arranged at Islamabad Model College for Girls, Post Graduate-Margalla F-7/4, Islamabad here on Wednesday in collaboration with Eduvision

The purpose of the session was to update students on modern job trends and to guide them on building strong financial foundations for the future. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Na’at and the National Anthem, which set a respectful and patriotic tone for the event

Mr. Yousaf Almas, the founder of Eduvision, was welcomed as the chief guest and speaker. While addressing the students, he spoke about the changing nature of careers and the need to adapt to new opportunities. He pointed out that in addition to traditional professions, fields like freelancing, digital marketing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and entrepreneurship are rapidly growing. He urged the students to focus on skill development alongside their studies so that they can become self-reliant and competitive in the job market. He also explained how students can select academic fields after FSc, ICS, and FA by considering their own interests, abilities, and future demand instead of simply following what is popular.

To make the session more practical, Mr. Almas called a few students onto the stage and asked them to introduce themselves. He then analyzed their introductions and pointed out both their flaws and strengths, demonstrating the correct way to present oneself with confidence and clarity. This activity highlighted the importance of communication skills and first impressions in professional life, and the students found it both engaging and instructive.

A significant portion of the talk was dedicated to financial awareness. Mr. Almas emphasized the importance of financial planning, wise spending, and early saving. He guided students on how they can start earning online through freelancing and other digital platforms even while continuing their education. He shared that Eduvision works to provide free career counseling, admission guidance, and awareness about various professional paths to students across the country.

At the end of the session, Mr. Yousaf Almas encouraged the students to keep learning and to share their queries on the official Eduvision YouTube channel, where detailed guidance on careers, admissions, and scholarships is regularly provided.
